We too often are running around with our heads cut off, or so it seems. Life is busy and we often forgo tending to our own needs in order to tend to other matters. Relaxation techniques such as the one we all took part in this week, I found, to be extremely helpful. So often I find myself sitting in the same spot pounding away on the computer with glazed over eyes, and a dry throat. We burden ourselves on a daily basis with a multitude of things we set out to accomplish.
Participating in this exercise brought me relief and I realized once again just how important it is to find time every day for inner reflection and focused intention to relax and ease the body's stress. This in turn brings our attention to the inner-self for reflection.
It was funny to see just hard it was to life the arms once in a deep relaxation state of being. Once I visualized the blood returning to the intestinal track I could feel my arms becoming lighter. After the exercise I felt much like I do after yoga- out for the count, and I didn't have to work at it for an hour to get there! Ten minutes a day of focused intention through meditative breathing and visualization can really make a significant difference in the minds state of health. I truly felt revived afterwards and I had a clear head once again.

Living Amongst the Masses
This day and age living amongst the masses of people can be tiresome to say the least. We must learn to cope with everyday situations as they arise while trying to maintain a level head about it. Eating well, moderate exercise, and a good social outlet are some of the basic tools for living well. I find that some quiet time set aside each day is a necessity for me to regain my thoughts and focus on my inner peace. What are you methods for coping with the madness of day to day life?
